So, I have a few questions. xD If you dont mind. I have a Monster High doll that I really want to redo, and I was wondering what you would suggest I use to repaint her. I also would like to know what you think I should use for hair. The look I want to give her is half-shaven, and the other side is long and wavy. Should I use mohair for the shaven? Also, I've heard that you cant use copics on regular BJDs, would this be the same for Monster High? So sorry for the long ask. xD

Nononono, no! No copics on resin/traditional BJDs! O___O It can be very harmful to the resin and is, at least for me, grouped with sharpie/permanent marker-level not-good.

The pens we’ve been testing out are watercolor based markers, and we’ve only been testing those on Monster Highs, not resin. :3

Also I really like your idea for the hairstyle. I’d think you’d probably have to reroot the hair and then cut it to get the shaved look, however I should say right now it’s a very difficult look to achieve.

Other alternatives would be to paint/sculpt the shaved part, but again, it’s a really difficult look to pull off.

Other than that, for reroots you can use kanekalon/nylon/saran hair wefts. They can be found at doctoredlocks.com or dollyhair.com (my personal faves).

They have many styles and colors, and what’s great about it is that it can be styled yourself as well- it can be straightened, crimped, all of it.

Do make sure prior to ordering, at least from Doctored Locks, you get a color you really like, because you might have a lot of hair left over…. xD
